Materials: 1 ball cotton yarn, 4.5 mm needles.

Directions:

Cast on 46 stitches.
Work 3 rows of seed stitch for border.
On all other rows work 3 stitches in seed stitch on each end for border.

Main Pattern:
Row 1: * K9, P1*
Row 2: K2, *P7, K3,* P7, K1.
Row 3: P2, *K5, P5*, K5, P3.
Row 4: K4, *P3, K7*, P3, K3.
Row 5: P4, *K1, P9*, K1, P5.
Row 6: K4, *P3, K7*, P3, K3.
Row 7: P2, *K5, P5*, K5, P3.
Row 8: K2, *P7, K3*, P7, K1.
Repeat these rows for the pattern till almost square finish with seed stitch border.
