With A, ch 41.
Base Row: With A, 1 dc in 3rd ch from hook, 1 dc in each of next 2 ch, *ch 1, skip next ch, 1 dc in each of next 3 ch, rep from * to end, turn. (39 stitches)
Row 1: Ch 2, * 1 dc in each of next 3 sts, ch 1, skip next sp, rep from * to last 3 sts, 1 dc in each of last 3 sts, turn. Break A. Join B.
Row 2: With B, ch 2, * 1 dc in next st, ch 1 skip next st, 1 dc in next st, 1 long dc ( insert hook in ch 1 sp 2 rows below), rep from * to last 3 sts, 1dc in next st, ch1, skip next st, 1 dc in last st, turn.
Row 3: Ch 2, 1 dc in first st, * ch 1, skip next sp, 1 dc in each of next 3 sts, rep from * to last 2 sts, ch 1, skip next sp, 1 dc in last st, turn. Break B. Join C.
Row 4: With C, ch 2, * 1 dc in nest st, 1 long dc over next sp, 1 dc in next st, ch 1, skip next st, rep from * to last 3 sts, 1 dc in next st, 1 long dc over next sp, 1 dc in last st, turn.

Edging:
Round 1: With A, work 1 rnd of sc evenly around entire outer edge, working 3 sc in corners.
Round 2: Ch 2, work 1 rnd of dc, working 3 dc into corners, sl st into top of ch2. Fasten off.
